13:00 – 14:00
Kronprinsessegade 30-32, 1306 København
In 1917 C.L. David bought the property Kronprincesssegade 30, which provided space for both his residence and his growing art collection. H
Subsequently, the roof floor was remodeled by architect Carl Petersen to create new exhibition spaces for the collection, and architect Kaare Klint subsequently decorated both a gallery for the ceramic collection and Det Åpne Magasin. After David's death in 1960, the entire property was gradually put into use as a museum.
In time, Islamic art became the main focus of the museum. The need for more space led to the acquisition of the neighbouring property Kronprincesssegade 32, and today the museum's exhibits extend over both buildings.
1 - 4 tickets can be booked per person.
If the meeting time is later than 10 minutes before the start of the tour, your reserved seat will be released.
