Three blue waves

Join us on a journey through 250 years of porcelain adventure when David's Collection invites you to talk with Lone Rahbek Christensen — the author behind the upcoming book Three Blue Waves. Royal porcelain through 250 years, to be published at Aarhus University Publishing House in 2026.

The lecture is based on the fascinating story of the Royal Porcelain Factory — founded in 1775 and today known as Royal Copenhagen — and draws threads for both the earthenware factory Aluminia and Bing & Grøndahl. It is the story of porcelain for sultans, tsars, discerning collectors and ordinary Danish homes — and how a Danish factory has maintained its artistic and technical level worldwide.
